Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst with strong domain knowledge in Payments to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 8–15 years of relevant BA experience, excellent analytical and communication skills, and proven expertise in supporting end-to-end payment solutions within Agile environments.

The role involves requirement analysis, functional design, data modeling, documentation, and cross-team collaboration throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

Domain Expertise:

• Demonstrate strong knowledge in at least two of the following payment areas:
• Payment Engine Management
• MT and MX ISO messages (notifications, statements, and advice)
• Payment Schemes (SWIFT, RTGS, ACH, RTP)

Business & Functional Analysis:

• Gather, clarify, and analyze business requirements.
• Translate requirements into functional/technical specifications (Epics & User Stories in JIRA).
• Perform business/functional data analysis and modeling across the payment journey.

Design & Documentation:

• Create technical mapping documents and solution design artifacts.
• Maintain documentation on Confluence for traceability and knowledge sharing.

Testing & Reviews:

• Review solution design, QA test plans, test cases, and results.
• Support defect triage and resolution in collaboration with QA and development teams.

Stakeholder Support:

• Act as a bridge between Business, Developers, QA, Architects, and Project Managers.
• Provide end-to-end support throughout requirement understanding, design, development, and delivery.

Communication & Initiative:

• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrate self-sufficiency, ownership, and proactive problem-solving to address root causes.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong Payments Domain expertise (at least 2 of the 3 listed areas).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodology.
• Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Visio.
• Basic knowledge of SQL.

Desired Skills (Good to Have)

• Functional experience in building a Payments Data Hub.
• Knowledge of business payment processes and market practices.
• IIBA CBAP or Product Owner certification.
• Understanding of cloud data components and related use cases.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• 8–15 years of Business Analysis experience, with significant exposure to Payments domain projects.
