The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge in data analytics and modelling, and be passionate about transforming complex datasets into meaningful insights that support innovation and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement end-to-end data strategies and designs across relational, dimensional, and NoSQL platforms using modern data tools for reporting, visualization, analytics, and machine learning
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to define data strategies, create data flows, and design conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Operate as an individual contributor with the ability to lead a small team (1–3 members).
• Play a hands-on role in analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality data models.
• Translate business requirements into actionable data insights to support decision-making and business improvement.
• Partner with Business and Operations teams to define both immediate and long-term data goals and feature sets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams including Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, DevOps, and QA teams to manage Agile/Scrum workflows and ensure timely, efficient delivery.
• Identify and manage dependencies across multiple applications, facilitating smooth integration and data consistency.
• Utilize deep knowledge of the payments domain and data analytics to solve complex business challenges.
  Recommend data acquisition and analysis methods to enhance system performance and data quality.
• Drive defect resolution processes, requiring strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, ensuring timely delivery and coordination across teams.
  
   

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling.
• Strong background in the Payments and Banking domain.
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing relational and NoSQL databases.

  • Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, BigTable, MongoDB, Neo4j
    
     
  • Tools: Erwin, Visual Paradigm
    
     
  • Programming: PL/SQL, Python, Unix Shell Scripting, Java
    
     
• Experience working with large datasets, performing pattern recognition and data trend analysis.
• In-depth understanding of payment workflows and system status tracking in large financial institutions.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience, with significant expertise in both Big Data and relational databases.
• Experience across full project lifecycle: requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, release, and support.
• Proven ability to lead transformation programs in large global enterprises, with strong stakeholder management and cross-regional coordination.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of simplifying complex data insights.
• Educational qualifications: A first-class degree in Engineering or a related field, with a major in two or more of the following: Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Grunt, Bamboo, Artifactory.
